its been 3 months now on the elmiron and it hasn't made much of a difference. does it take along time to start helping ?

It can take quite a while because the dose that we can take orally only has a small percentage of what we need to repair the bladder lining, so it takes a long time to build up a defence. I have read that sometimes they can put an installation of elmiron directly into the bladder at a much higher dose.
I have taken elmiron for many years now and it took at least 4 months to really start helping but I also needed to take tolterodine as well. I hope your daughter has some relief soon.
