... pink eye. She just went to ER and they gave her a script for Maxitrol. This has neomycin sulfate and polymyxin B sulfate in it. She told them she is allergic to sulfa and they gave her this medicine. Will this cause a reaction? Thanks

I realize this answer is a bit late ... She should have been fine. Neither neomycin nor polymyxin have sulfa group in their structure.
