My 7 month old neice has been prescribed Nitrofurantoin by her paediatrician?

Details:

She has not been able to retain anything she eats after consuming the medicine. Is the medicine causing this?

Yes unfortunately, Nitrofurantoin does as its side effects cause nausea & vomiting.

Please speak to the pediatrician, if he/she could change the med which maybe more suited.
