Check for overdose symptoms such as: Abdominal pain (stomach pain); Drowsiness; Thirst; Headaches; Vomiting; Hyperactivity. If your 6 year old is ok, then nothing to worry about.
The general recommendation for a missed dose is; if you do not take your Singulair as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
I would consult the doc who prescribed the med for missing the next dose, do not doubt the nurse one bit, but its still better to seek professional medical advice.
Take care, bets wishes!

I wouldn't doubt the practicioner either but I would talk to the prescribing physician, I don't think you can be too careful when it comes to medications and children, anyone for that matter but better safe than to have concerns in the back of your mind. I wish you the best caringsonbj
The nurse practitioner is the one who prescribed it. Thanks
I in no way want to cause you to doubt the Nurse practioners abilities, as an adult I feel better just talking with my doctor but I realize that their are times when the doctors are not able to directly give the care, I think they feel that they are trusworthy or to be honest that is always something I try and assure myself of and try and do the same with others. just want you to have all the best care that is possible. best wishes, caringsonbj
