shannonha...... have read so much today im torn between treatment or not to treat with lupron. Please help any advise or suggestions will be very helpful. I've never tried lupron, but have heard horrible things about it, not to mention that it doesn't even help with the pain! Plus some insurance won't cover it, and it's extremely expensive! Is she on the pill? That can help suppress the endo, especially when taken continuously with no periods. And then unfortunately, surgery is the only way to treat endo, if the pain gets too uncontrollable.

I'm so sorry to hear your daughter has been diagnosed with endo. I am 25 and was diagnosed few months back but have been suffering since your daughters age,my doc just kept fobbing me off..
But anyway the good thing is that she is diagnosed now at a young age,although i know she must be going through so much,its so hard,but at least it was caught early on.

DON'T DO IT! I have more health problems than I could ever have anticipated using this drug.. there are OTHER options.. I am a mother of 3 and as a mother I implore you.. look for other options.. Since using this, I have been chronically ill with mixed connective tissue disease, weight gain, enlarged breasts and chronic pain in my joints and muscles... don't make the same mistake I did.. please..

As you can see from my above post i suffer too,will be finished my shot tomorrow after 12 LONG weeks,i was put on decapeptyl and have had major effects. Can you tell me what other options you have tried?? The shot has left me with weak joints and feelin like i'm going off my head!! My gyne is putting me back on the pill coz i dont want to go through another12weeks of shots.
I'm in such bad pain today,is this normal when finishin a shot?It feels like my womb is falling from me(if you get what i mean).
Hope you dont mind me jumpin in on this q but i would really appreciate any advice you have,from someone who has been through this??
