i had a termination four and a half years ago the doctor told me it was safe to have a mirina iud inserted straight away while under anestetic but i have now read it is not to be used soon after a termination.

Mirena is often inserted under anesthetic at the same time as a D&C (dilatation and curettage) procedure.
