This is the recommended dose for Milk of Magnesia (magnesium hydroxide).
Usual Adult Dose for Constipation:
30 to 60 mL orally once a day or in divided doses.
8 tablets orally once a day or in divided doses.
Usual Adult Dose for Dyspepsia:
Initial dose: 5 to 15 mL orally 1 to 4 times a day as needed.
Alternatively, 1 to 3 oral tablets 1 to 4 times a day as needed.
2 to 4 tablets orally every 4 hours as needed up to 4 times in a 24 hour period.

The directions on the milk of magnesia say to drink a full 8 oz. of liquid along with the dosage, can it be a glass of dairy milk?

Is it permitted to take the said dose (4 TSP) of Milk of Magnesia every 3 days for a long period? W?
I have not tried yet Milk of Magnesia. I want to try it as I have developed acute constipation.

Does phillips milk of magnesia come in a solid block form. I know many years ago it did. If so, where can I find it.
