Because so far only relpax does any good at all in stopping the pain besides going to the emergency rooms in hospitals?
Migraine Prevention - is there anything like replax that medicare will pay for?

Relpax is a triptan, so it's an abortive medication rather than a prevention. There are prevention meds that you could talk to your doc about like Topamax and others.
As far as relief from an active migrains, I would expect Medicare would cover the generic sumatriptan which is same as Imitrex. Have your tried that in the past? Also the medication coverages vary by state and by your prescription coverage plan. Have you checked out the formulary plans for your state on the medicare.gov website?
