Metoclopramide - how long before I can expect to see some relief?

I can only tell you by a humans point of all, Ive been taking metclopramide for three weeks, and they took about 24-36 hours to start to work, if you take regually what the tablet do's is fast up the intestines so when food is inside you it does't have the time to reflux back up, unfortunately you can only take short term up to 12 weeks, but i hope your dog doesnt need them that long, you didnt say whats wrong with your dog, i hope an xray has been done, if this does carry on for more than 5 days, please make sure your dog hasnt, got something blocking the intestine, or got a twisted bowel, this would show up on an xray.
