Is methylprednisolone given for laryngitis?

It depends on what is causing the laryngitis. If its just an infection, no it would not be used.

Most laryngitis is treated with rest and perhaps antibiotics if a throat culture comes back positive. Avoid talking to rest the throat but be sure you see a doctor in case it is strep throat.

Methylprednisolone is an anti inflammatory and I do not know if it would work for this. We are not doctors on this site, so you will receive information from various people.
