I have taken methotrexate on and off for years because of my rheumatoid arthritis. It's used for psoriasis, chemotherapy, autoimmune problems. There are several things methotrexate is used for.
I hate that a kid has to take it as it kind of makes me sick. Each weekend it would wipe me out when I took it with stomach problems and overall feeling badly. But it's an effective medication when necessary.
I can only assume your grandson is being seen by a specialist? God bless.
