Metformin - may fear is I walk to lose weight . is this pill going to stop me from doing so?

im type 2 and my dr wants me to take metformin twice a day but i dont usually eat breakfast more of lunch and dinner. i walk a mile a day to lose weight and so far ive lost 4 lbs in A WK. im afraid of the side effects and puttin the weight back on

metformin does not increase the body weight, in contrast metformin now is commonly used to lose weight, so do not worry it will help you in reducing your weight,it is the first-choice for type 2 diabetes
Hint: pioglitazone drugs increase weight

Hi, just to add to the above post, if you're taking metformin and not eating breakfast, male sure you test your sugars regularly and often to make sure they don't get too low. (Or too high.)
