Checked with my pharmacy today and they tell me there is a problem with this manufacturer. They don't know WHEN they are going to get this medication and this was the only one approved by my insurance RX America. Muscle relaxants are not something my insurance company approves of. The doc can probably give me Robaxin but that has never helped me in the past.
What does this mean? What are my options? Called the FDA and they have no notice on any problems with the company but called this into my doctor just the same. Any advise? Tried to contact the company and left a phone message. I like this medication and am happy with what it does. Now what?

I got an e-mails back from the company that says they shipped out the drug to local stores. Now we will find out what the excuse is.
Hi again TMM,
That is so odd!! Yet your pharmacy won't or can't fill it?
Very strange indeed!!

Hey Mad Man: You might want to try Flexeril. It is supposed to be the BEST muscle relaxer for people with chronic pain, but it makes you very sleepy. They have come out with Amrix, which is Flexeril but long acting. It does NOT make you sleepy at all. You take either a 15 or 30mg capsule between 7-9pm, depending on what time you go to bed at night. The theory being that the worse sleepiness is during the night. (Being that I have a HORRBLE time sleeping, I can't tell you how bad it is, and I am ALWAYS tired), but, my husband is on the same amount as I am, and he loves it!! He never gets sleepy. Hope that works for you, at least until you can find out what happened to your Skelaxin. BTW, Amrix is on generic now, so it is MUCH cheaper. Skelaxin never did a thing for either one of us. Ellen
My insurance for some reason will not cover Flexeril but I am checking into this. Muscle relaxers seem to be a problem with RX America.
Don't look for flexeril, that is the company name. Look for cyclobenzaprine, or cyclobenzaprine ER if you like the once a day muscle relaxer. I have also found that Target is the cheapest for medication even cheaper than WalMart. I was shocked when I found out, but it is true. Walmart no longer advertises that it "lowers all it's prices" if you notice, and they have actually raised most of them. Target also sells grocery foods now which are extremely cheap! That with a target coupon, a national coupon, an internet coupon, and their five% back if you sign up for their debit card, (we can't do credit cards, we never have the money to pay on time, so whatever monies we save, we lose in late fees etc.,)and you pay practically nothing. It is amazing. Good luck finding what you need. Ellen
