I've suffered Bipolar I, Adult ADHD, anxiety, thyroid & digestive problems for many years. I appreciate helping, listening, learning from and supporting one another...not dragging each other down. "Outside" world does enough of that! Battled opiate addiction yrs ago, as result of self-medicating thru several health issues/surgeries/chronic pain, but stable for years on Subox & hope to be off that soon, as well. Concerned now about digestive issues -- stomach doesn't empty correctly from scar tissue of duodenal ulcer/hiatal hernia, gastric bezoar, which caused weight gain. Would also like to learn more about Integrative & Holistic Drs. & methods, and all hormone interactions in our bodies. Very thin line between scientific claims & personal experience, and want to be careful we make those distinctions to avoid personality conflicts, arguments, and possible harm to one another...then, we're no longer focused on basic principles of serving & helping one another. I'll make efforts to understand your viewpoint, whether I agree or not. Variety is the spice of life?! But, drama is so tiring! Hoping we interact in a respectful manner given the hardships most of us have encountered, particularly with stigmas of immune system, addiction & mental disorders. I've counseled for 20+ yrs; domestic violence, addictions, dual disorders, as well as being in recovery myself, but am first to say, I don't know everything! Laughter is best remedy in any arsenal! Am grateful every day for another opportunity to form bonds here, learn, love and laugh. God Bless all -- Jillian
