My name is Danielle...41 year old female...i live in Newport, Delaware...i work for a pharmaceutical company in Regulatory Affairs & Operations/Drug Development...I am fascinated with pharmaceuticals and the whole process of IND to NDA....
i have been taking Adderall IR & XR since the time of my ADHD diagnosis...i am currently tapering off of Celexa and started on Wellbutrin XL a week ago, one 150 mg dose in the morning...i don't know what i think of it yet, but so far so good i guess, too new to tell i think...i'd always wanted to try wellbutrin but when i first tried it 7 years ago, i was still drinking and stopped taking it after 2 weeks....UPDATE: I am no longer taking wellbutrin....it was making me sick to my stomach and wasn't any better than celexa....what a disappointment...started on 150 and went to 300 and then back to 150 and then done.....
my last alcoholic drink was 2/23/06...
My biggest problem was opiate dependency...it started when i had my first opiate at the age of 31 in December 2001...one pill and i knew...i had an off again on again battle going from 2001 until november 2005...i stopped cold turkey, detoxed at home because i was not working at the time, and was able to stay off of opiates for 4 years solid....obviously i wasn't done, though, because all it took was the dentist giving me an Rx for 12 vicoprofens and the next 7 months were the most intense opiate fueled months of my life.
i have been on a suboxone program and off of opiates since 9/30/10...i started at 16-24 mg a day, and as of the last 2 months i have been taking 4 to 8 mg day...i am now at a place where i am trying to get a solid taper plan together... it's a confusing time, but i am glad to be here and hope to make the best decisions i can...
i hope to meet new people, make new friendships, and hopefully help others as they help me with our experiences and suggestions, as well as shared knowledge..
