I was hospitalized and diagnosed with bipolar disorder about 6 years ago at the age of 36 which seems kinda late. Then during 2012 I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder with psychosis, mania and dissociation. Since taking my meds, I pretty much only deal with depression and anxiety - no psychosism, etc. since 2006. I also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, OCD and suspected PTSD, but I have no conscious memories of abuse. Seems likely though since I grew up next door to a registered sex offender. I have body flashbacks, at least that's what I was told. I have also had migraines for about 12 plus years. It runs in my family big time. Dealing with peri-menopause as well. I know I seem young for it, but my mother went through it at my age as well. I'm also on continuous birth control pills - no placebos ever. I have PMDD. Basically, I'm on a ton of medication so I have a lot of questions about meds and interactions and side effects, etc. It would be nice to ask actual patients what their experiences have been because it seems like doctors aren't always aware of every possible reaction . I'm on medical disability. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and then most of a degree in Music Therapy (only internship left) where I specialized in treating psychiatric patients. Both were undergrad degrees, so I only know the basics. I've just done a ton of research, but I have a lot of personal experience with mental illness and a good chunk of semi-professional/student experience. I hope to help others in my support groups just from those experiences. I want to make clear that I would never offer 'professional' advice. I also just found out I have celiac disease. Great - one more disorder.read less
