When stopping strattera, is it necessary to taper off, or is it ok to just stop taking it?

DixieChickn's answer: The information sheet on Drugs.com (from Lilly Pharm.) said its ok to stop without tapering off. I guess it leaves your system gradually on its own.
Would decreasing from 80 to 60mg Strattera help curb emotional spikes (crying jags)?
