Narcotics were not my first poison. I was doing benzos, tranqs, for decades. In 1994 I went to my first N.A. meeting-as I had hit 'a' bottom back then. I stayed clean until the beginning of 2003. That's almost nine years-no relapses. That's when I picked up percs and found and new 'love' for a deadly poison.
Since then I have been in and out of detox and rehab several times.
There was twice, I can remember having oxy's perc's and some T#3's all together. On two occasions I started to hallucinate. That was very scary.
There were many times, afraid to fall asleep because I knew I had overdone in thinking I'd never wake up again. I tried several times to get off opiates the old fashion way-detox @ clinic w/ meds to help, period. This was before Suboxone was allowed in Canada in 2007 or 2008, it's recently, regardless.
While I was clean in the '90's I went back to school, go my B.A. in Woman's Studies and then went on to do Journalism. Just before that course ended is when I started the percs...downhill from there.
I love to write and enjoy the written word-when it's used properly, that is! HA!
I was on another forum and was constantly getting 'accosted' there for using and asking about suboxone.
I find myself here-with some wonderful helpful-non judgmental people. So refreshing!
I edited this and added some more information. If the story line goes off and comes back now and then, I hope you'll forgive the poor story structure-and even more so, get something from my story which might be of some help
