I am now 59, married for 42yrs. Have one son and two daughters. We also have 9 wonderful grandchildren. I have SLE, Five failed spnial fusions, anxiety, stress, fibromyalgia, and a host of other maladys. Chronic Pain and Fatigue . I was diagnosed with SLE when I was 22, and six yrs ago I was told about the Fibromyalgia. Need a place to share without being judged. Friends and family don't understand. My husband does, but he at times feels helpless too, as he has many problems now also, he'll be 59 soon, and he can hardly walk anymore without falling, due to Cerebellar Ataxia. We both feel so overwhelmed, so I feel if I can go someplace and share with people who understand, maybe some of my stress will ease up.
I have a few pet peeves, some may appear to be trivial to others, however certain things really bug me, one is profanity. The major one is the MF word it is so vulgar, that I cannot for the life of me figure out why another word cannot be used in place of the cuss word. I do not curse ever, and the one and only time I did, I was drivng in my car with my children, at the time they were all in JR high school, to this day, they still tell story about the time Mom used a curse word; they will tell anyone who would listen. In case you're wondering the word I used, was
"gosh damit", I'm still ashamed I used it with my kids near by! Now that they are older. They still won't let me forget it! So, now I tell my kids. " I never said I was perfect, because perfection is a fault. AND IHAVE NO FAULTS!!! lol... THEY GET A KICK OOUT OF THAT!!!! WE HAVE FUN WITH IT!!! I enjoy my family, and the great sense of humor we all share, it keeps life interesting, to say the least!!!
