The price on maxair has doubled in the last couple months. I completely depend on this and can't afford it. Do you think it will come back down. I am very worried I will end up in hospital because I can't breath. Nothing else works. Please let me know. Also is there anything comparible? Very worried, Kim Wells

I doubt you'll see a decline before they have a generic. The manufacturer has cornered the market so they well put money in their greedy stock holders pockets. You can apply for assistance from the manufacturer. Albuterol inhalers do much the same thing, come in generic and cost a third of the price of max air

I called the manufacturer and explained my frustration with their more than double price increase. The receptionist said "we have been informed to say to people who call 'we are aware there has been a price increase.'" Nothing more could be answered. I asked if there was someone higher I could appeal to- she said no. I suggest as many people as possible call and complain. I am also contacting my senator to investigate their price practices, especially in light of the lack of competition. There has been no change to the medicine, per my pharmacist.
