Magnesium Oxide - Is it ok to crush pill before taking with a glass of water, daughter unable to?

Generally any situation where its not narcotic you can buy a pill crusher then crush the pill or pills. Add it to some applesauce or anything that your daughter enjoys eating maybe yogurt. But if the the label or directions that came with the medication strictly says do not crush or break their is a reason so dont do it. I hope this helped michelle:).
