Hi I researched Lutera and there MANY sites/forums about being able to Lutera as a EC, I was told to take 5 white pills right away, then 5 more 12 hours later. I haven't been on my Lutera birth control for a month because I was away on vacation I knew I wasn't going to be sexually active. But, me and my boyfriend had sex after I came back and the condom broke. I should be 1-2 weeks close to my period, but I took the dosage of the Lutera. I then heard that there's a high chance it won't work, so should I take a plan-B pill too? Or will that be to much after taking the Lutera as a EC?

It actually takes 15 lutera to equal the amount of progesterone in plan B one step. Plan B itself isnt' as effective as regular birth control is. It probably would have been better for you had you stayed on the lutera for that month, so as not to interrupt your cycle. When you take birth control meds as EC, you are not only getting the progesterone but a massive dose of estrogen as well, so I would think plan B would be less rough on your body. I'm thinking if you take plan b now, you'll really have a problem with your body for several months. When you go back on lutera as bc you'll have to start it like you've never taken it, using a condom for 7 days also.
