What is albendazole? Indicated for:

Neurocysticercosis
Indicated for the treatment of parenchymal neurocysticercosis due to active lesions caused by larval forms of the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium.

Hydatid Disease
Indicated for the treatment of cystic hydatid disease of the liver, lung, and peritoneum, caused by the larval form of the dog tapeworm, Echinococcus granulosus.

Serious side effects are rare with Albendazole, severe stomach/abdominal pain could be the problem, as its a side effect of taking Albendazole.

However please talk to your pharmacist/doc who prescribed the med, hope this helps?
