I have muscle pains on my hip area almost like a limping and sinus congestion as a result of taking this drug. My appointment with my doc on June 2011. He did increase my dosage was 25 mg twice a day to 100 mgr (50 mg each twice a day). What do you suggest instead of losartan so I can ask my doctor. Thank you. I also take simvastatin for my colestroel.
Losartan 100 mg I take twice a day 50 mg each?

Hey altutone,
The muscle pain and cramps is a serious side effect of the Losartan and needs to be reported to the doctor as soon as possible. The doctor needs to evaluate the situation and address whether a medication change is in order. I am not well versed in hypertension medications so I can't make a suggestion. Sorry.
