Lortab 7.5/500 - I have always taken vioden 7.5 what is the difference between the lortab 7.5-500?

They are basically the same. They are both hydrocodone and acetaminophen combos. Lortab has 7.5mg hydrocodone and 500mg of acetaminophen where Vicodin ES has 7.5mg hydrocodone and 750mg acetaminophen. So the only difference is in the amount of acetaminophen (abbreviated as APAP on some Rx bottles) They both have the same amount of the opioid hydrocodone so it is unlikely that you will notice much difference in pain relief between the two. When you see a combo drug, they will have the mgs written with a slash between them, like 7.5/500, the first ingredient is the first number and the second ingredient is the second number.

I am currently prescribed to take Lortab 10/500, 1 tab every 4-6 hours. What do you guys think, 4 tablets a day total, #120 a month. Thanks!!!

I have never seen the "T" after the 7.5/500 and was wondering what it meant?
