My loved one has had parnoid schizophrenia since he was a teenager. He is now 39. He suffered a severe head injury last October, and the illness has been variable as he heals. (his skull was fractured) He recently became much worse and then last week they started him on thorazine injections. They say it's his last chance at meds and then they may have to start ect. We are both concerned as with other medication he has tried that he will build an immunity and suffer again. What are the stats on this drugs, does it work long term? And does he risk dementia by being on this a long time? Thank you
