My wife is a brittle diabetic, she was pregnant with our daughter her glucose levels were severely out of control. I had to call the paramedics to revive her as many as 4 times a week. The paramedics pushed narcan in addition to several amps of D50 glucose every time. I finally over heard the paramedics say the word narcan and got suspicous because of the narc portion of the name and asked what it was. I informed them to discontinue using it because she is not on drugs. My daughter is having extreme emotional problems and addition problems now. I have to wonder is this a result of the orbitrary use of narcan?

The Narcan could have been used to increase your wife's blood pressure due to the hypoglycemic attack
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies involving the use of Narcan in pregnant women or on their subsequent children.
Sorry not to have been more help.
