Here's an excerpt from wikipedia: "Over a 0.15 to 3 gm dose range in healthy adult subjects, the values of elimination half-life ranged from 5.8 to 8.7 hours." It takes many more days for the balance of the drug to leave your system.
I found this table. You don't mention dose, so I'm printing the doses I could find. Also note that the infusions here were over 30 minutes' time and ignore the IM (intramuscular) method of delivery. Go to this link:
