Liquibid-D - Can this be used for a sore throat?

Liquibid-D contains a combination of guaifenesin and phenylephrine. It is used to treat stuffy nose and sinus congestion, and to reduce chest congestion caused by the common cold or flu.

Liquibid-D will not help a sore throat.

I, also, have copd use nystatin and have sore throat?

I thought the sore throat was from thrush, reason for nystatin, as it went away on start of medication and now has returned.
