Lioresal Intrathecal - Does the baclofen have an expiration date. I am on a low dose and could go?

... much longer than 6 mos. for a refill yet my doc insists on the very expensive procedure because he says, "They know it is safe up to six months but that was all the longer it was studied, so they aren't sure after that." Consequently, a need for an expensive drain and refill is a must or is it?

Lioresal intrathecal will have an expiry date and once this is past the efficacy and safety of the medicine can no longer be guaranteed. The expiry date will be found somewhere on the original container.
It would be risky to use Lioresal past its expiry date.
