Levsin SL (hyoscyamine) is an antispasmodic drug which works by reducing spasms and reducing fluid secretions in the body. It is used as a treatment for irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon. It treats the pain and spasms, rather than the associated diarrhea.
If you are suffering from diarrhea and your symptoms become worse, or you develop diarrhea while taking Levsin SL, you should see your doctor.
