My name is Sharon, I am 50 yrs old, I live on Cape Cod. I have had Lyme Disease since 1993 and have severe osteoarthritis due to LD.
I am at the point with both knees where I am having double knee replacement surgery in January 2010.
I would like some insight into the surgery and the recovery involved.

i know i'm bit too late for this answer
anyways
i have had osteoarthritis for 10 years now. Last month i underwent a QMR treatment, after which all my agony have come to control. I don't have chronic pain now.
I will say that you also can try this. Being weak at heart i was not made for surgery. This treatment was non invasive and painless as its a radation therapy. google it for more info.I'm sure i'll be recovering very soon.
