KiffisI took a xanax 0.5mg at 3 this afternoon. It is now almost midnight and I am wondering if it is ok to take a klonopin .5mg. I have a prescription for each, I rarely take either but today I have had some major family issues that are causing my anxiety to be situationally worse. I want to take a klonopin so I can try to get some sleep but I didn't know if it was safe since i had taken xanax earlier in the day. Also I am on a short term script for vicodin but have not taken a dose since 8 pm. Advice is needed and appreciated.

You should be fine its taking one medicine after the other in the same hour is when you have a problem it sounds like you got your meds. under control I usually take xanax all throughout the day I have also tried klonopin that is not nearly as strong as xanax. Also if your worried about mixing vicodin with xanax that is okay to just dont overdo it and take like 2 vics and 3 xanax or you will be passing out or going to the hospital cause you can't breath. Anywho be safe about it you know your body better than anyone else go with what feels right to you. GOOD LUCK!!!
