I have dealt with depression, anxiety and some ocd for a long time now. I've been on so many different meds. It's hard to tell which ones work and which ones don't. I've been on Lamictal for a long time, as well as Klonipin. Celexa is a new med my doctor just prescribed for me because of recent tragic events. She is working on changing my meds. I was on Pristiq, and she changed me from that to the Celexa. My dose of Klonipin was increased to 3 a day. The next thing we will work on is the Lamictal.
Klonipin, Celexa, and Lamictal. Do these work well together for depression, anxitey and ocd?

Hi I also suffer from depression, bipolar disorder and high anxiety. I was put on celexa years ago but it made me catatonic. I had a real bad reaction to it. I now take effexor xr , geodone, and ativan. These meds seem to be working just fine for me now and along with a group therapy regimen, I am doing much better than ever.I also was put on lamictal but it did not do much for me. I take 3 ativan a day which is similar to klonopin. It takes time for doctors to come up with the right meds for us but you will find the correct ones that work and make you feel better. Good luck to you.

Hello Daddy'sgirl. In answer to your question, yes, they might possiobly work well together. My diagnosis is the same as yours. My medications are different. Celexa I was taking for a time, but I stopped it, for it was leaving me tired. But, I believe that given the chance your combination might work well for you. best to you.

Daddy'sgirl, love the name by the way. Have you tried cymbalta for the depression and anxiety. Also I used to take klonipin, xanax, atavin because I swore the were the only things that worked for me but now take buspar. It is not habit forming as the klonipin is, which may be the reason you have been increased. I really recommend to ask about it and slowly reduce the klonipin and keep it to just use as needed for those days that anxiety peek through.
Hi kytteneyes, In reference to my username, my family is very close and I'm close to my mom and dad both. My mom has been there for me through everything. And my daddy and I have similar personalities. I tell people I'm a Daddy's girl, hence the name. No, I've never tried Cymbalta. I may mention that to my doctor. I'm hoping to change the Lamictal, so I'll mention the Cymbalta. As I said before, sometimes it seems like nothing works. That in itself is depressing. Ugh. I'll keep buspar in mind also. Thanks for answering.
My daughter is also a daddysgirl. If you need a different mood stabilizer how about topamax. It even helps you lose weight. I plan to try it next week. I well keep you in mind and let you know how it works.

Hi, and thank you Chrissy. It's been a real struggle with meds. Sometimes it seems like none of them work! I've been on so many of them. I go to Comprehensive Care, and I get counseling through them. My doctor is there also. Yes, my previous doctor told me Ativan is like Klonipin. Thanks so much for your comment and encouragement! :)
Hi Chrissy,
I've also been on Effexor before and Ativan. I've been on Geodon also, but it caused weight gain. I started seeing a new doctor and he took me off of it. I'll have to look into group therapy where I see my doctor and counselor. I think that would help me. When I'm depressed or anxious, I have found that I have to talk about it. I don't shut down like some people do. So the group therapy would probably work well for me.
