Ketoconazole, may and I stress MAY help in hair loss due to Tinea capitis.
Tinea capitis, also known as scalp ringworm, is a superficial fungal infection of the scalp, eyebrows and eyelashes, caused by mold-like fungi called dermatophytes. It can attack hair shafts and follicles.
If you are unsure about what is causing the hair loss please see your doctor.
If the hair loss is just "Pattern Baldness" then ketoconazole shampoo won't help at all.
