I am 23 years old. I was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age of 3... was hoping to find someone that is close to my age and is also a diabetic!! I am currently on humalog and lantus. and the past 4 or 5 years I have started to have some complication with my diabetes. It would be great to hear meet someone on here that i can relate to. Thanks for reading and feel free to post :)

Hi I'm aka litlmommag I just wanted to welcome you to the group. I am actually 35 years old not a diabetic but do enjoy talking with all the nice friends have met on this sight. I do believe you can find sme great support on here for all kinds of everyday situations or just to even help someone else. We all sometimes like to know how others are overcomming complications in their lives or personally if your kid won a trophy for a science project. So I'm gonna put you as a friend and hopefully we can find smethings we have in common. Welcome again. Litlmommag}

Hi Jessica! I just joined this group and yours was the first post I read and I have to say touched my heart! I am not your age but I was your age when I was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes and always wondered if it would have been easier to deal with it if I had always had it! I really had to do some major lifestyle changes; I am still working on it. So we do have 20+ years with this disease in common! Like you, I have complications as well and was wondering if I might be able to offer you a little support in dealing with them. My major complication is neuropathy and the many unforgiving forms it takes in the body. If you have any questions about my experiences or just want to chat... please just send me a message... in the mean time kiddo... hang in there cuz you have A LOT to offer this community! ;-)
