.I've was prescribed ProAir HFA for my occasional asthma 2 years ago,now my doctor prescribed me Qvar 80mcg.I wanted to know if anyone was on this combination of medications for asthma and what added benefit for taking Qvar would be?
Is anyone taking ProAir and Qvar together -what is the added benefit if taking Qvar?

Qvar contains beclomethasone, a steroid medicine.
Steroid drugs work by reducing swelling and mucus production in the airways of a person with asthma. As a result, the airways are less sensitive and less likely to react to asthma triggers, allowing people with symptoms of asthma to have better control over their condition.
Taking Qvar will help you to gain better asthma control and prevent asthma attacks.You will find you need to use your ProAir less often.
Qvar needs to be taken regularly for it to work effectively.
