Ive been on topamax 100mg twice a day for migraines for a couple of years, lost alot of weight and?

Maybe switch over to Depakote. It's in the same family. (Anti-seizure meds)
I've had neither weightloss/gain. And it also has the plus of not causing the weird tastes that some suffer from. I've not been able to take topamax due to previous issues with kidney stones.
