I've been on Hydrocodone for over 5 years. Reading some of these posts makes me realize why I am having so much trouble all of the suden with my prescription. As for quiting hydrocodone. I flush my body out of it every two weeks. How: I use tramadol (very low dose) to help me with the shaking. I also use inmodium to stop the runs. I must say that many of the posts here really make me mad. I am allergic to just about everything. Codeine, Ibuprophen, sulfa, Aspirin, Morphine, Methadone, Lyrica and way many others. All of them can basically kill me. As a retired paratrooper (U.S.Army parachutist). There has been many injuries to my body and the only thing that has finally stopped the pain has been the LOW dose of hydrocodone 7.5mg with either 325mg or 500mg. Tylenol. My condition is permanent and Neither there is another drug for me nor would l want to deal with a new one. All of you who have been abusing this medicine have put me in jeopardy and have really messed it up for all of us who need it to be in our daily lives. I am battling with several doctors because they believe I will be abusing it or selling it. Yet the bottom line is that I have never felt better since being on it. I guess it will be a new hurdle now that I can understand what my physicians are going trhough with many of you. I would say thanks but all posts I've read talk about how to beat a urine test, how to get more of this medicine and so on. There is nothing I really would like more than to tell those of you who are abusing it than to quit. But I do not believe this post or any other posts I supply will be met with candid thought. I am really ashamed
