Eve54this is been driving me crazy 4 several days, also now ive got a bad cough, could it be sinus infection or my allergies acting up.. please help.
Ive been having a runny nose with a bad headache 4 several days.. what could it be?

It may have started out as an allergy, but then turned into a full blown cold. If it just started then take echinacea combined with vitamin C and zinc and it will either get rid of it or shorten the period that you have it. If it is a virus then this will definitely help, if it is bacterial then you should go to the doctor and get an antibiotic or something to fight a bacterial infection. Don't take antibiotics if not needed though, because so many people are getting resistant to them that some bacterial infections have great difficulty getting cured. That is how MENSA started showing up and being so difficult for doctors to treat. People are taking antibiotics and not finishing the script or taking them when not truly needed. The bacteria is getting stronger. I always keep a bottle of echinacea and goldenseal because the echinacea helps your own body battle a virus and the goldenseal is excellent for helping your own immune system in fighting a bacterial infection.

Since you list allergies as a problem I agree it could be a sinus infection too. You might try using "ocean spray" which is nothing but a saline slution to clear the mucus out of your sinuses. Another trick my old, & now deceased allergy doc taught me was to put a wee amount of vasoline on the end of a Q-tip before you go to bed & put it as high in thye nose as possible without it hurting of course. give it a twirl & do the same for the other side. Do not use the same Q-tip as you could spread infection if you have one from one side to the other. He reccommended this over 30 years ago, & I still do it every nite to keep the sinus moist, & keep the infection & allergies related problems at bay. It really helps. Just my thoughts... Mary632009
