My doctor prescribed me a one a day dose of Topamax 25mg, to ease the itchness on my skin, caused by a kind of Peripheral neuropathy.

Topamax is a prescription medication used to treat various conditions that affect the nervous system.
Specific uses for the medication include: Epilepsy treatment (either used alone or in combination with other epilepsy medication); Migraine prevention.
On occasion, the doc may recommend Topamax for treating something other than the conditions listed above. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, off-label uses of Topamax include the treatment of the following conditions: Diabetic neuropathy or other types of neuropathic pain (nerve pain) is one of them.
If Topamax could reduce the itchiness; that is would be the decision of your doc who prescribed the med.
