I don't really know about long term, but I can tell you that it is an amazing drug for people who are highly agitated and out of control due to schizophrenia or any other psychosis. We use it a lot at the hospital where I work and usually after the first dose, a patient is noticeably more calm and in control of his/her behavior and mood.

That's why I want to quit, it's too tranquilizing in effect.
If you want to quit, then I'd suggest talking to your doctor so that he/she can help you find some other med alternative so that you can function without feeling so sedated. Good luck.
I'm just a normal guy, I don't need meds at all.
