I am on 50mg of methadone, and my doctor wants me to start taking zoloft 25mg daily because of the advantages it has in helping with daily migraines. My question is, is it safe to do so; and does it counterreact with methadone?

yes ... you are perfectly safe taking Zoloft while on Methadone! Your dose is low... I am on 180mgs of Methadone and I was on 25 mgs of Zoloft for Migraine headaches up until 6 months ago and had no problems except for one thing... I would get sleepy if I took the Methadone and Zoloft within 6 hours of each other... but everyone is different. as far as your health goes and the safety , you should be fine! And as far as zoloft helping with daily Migraines... it worked wonders for me!! but it did wear off after a few years and I had to switch to a different med. but like I said ... everyone is different!! give it a try... but make sure that the doctor giving you the Zoloft knows that you are on Methadone... good luck!
