outsidesueI have depression and anxiety and before I started the Wellbutrim I had trouble sleeping. So my doctor (very conservative) prescribed 10 mg of Ambien (generic). That helped. Then a month later I started the Welbutrin (generic) 300 mg and just a few days ago added the 25 mg of Zoloft. The Ambien is definitely not working. I like the Welbutrim b/c I really feel like it is helping with my depression. I have gotten thru all the side effects and don't want to switch antidepressants. Any suggestions? Please post relevant information to this. Thanks.

I'm assuming that you're on the extended release formula which is taken once a day and last for 24 hours? You may benefit from trying the immediate release which you would have to take more often in a day but would be less likely to keep you awake at night. Might be worth asking the doctor if he thinks it would make a difference.
The other thing you mentioned was the addition of the Zoloft which hasn't been for very long. It maybe that the Zoloft will counteract some of the insomnia from the Wellbutrin as the Zoloft builds in your system. The Zoloft for some people makes them drowsy while for others it causes sleeplessness. Just depends on the individual.
You may benefit from a medication like Seroquell rather than the Zoloft. It will make you sleepy and helps with depression and anxiousness. My sister takes Seroquell for sleep and was able to discontinue the Ambien.
