Thyrogen is administered in the hospital during prior to Radioactive Iodine scans for the thyroid. One person stated it was expensive since it is a RX and not a treatment. However, on the Medicare website, Thyrogen is not listed anywhere? Has anyone experienced using Thyrogen relative to Medicare?
Is Thyrogen covered by Medicare? I can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere!?

It's unfortunate that no one has answered. It might be easier to call Medicare and ask. Sometimes all the information might not be on the website.

Thanks for your response, but did you ever get a straight answer from Medicare? The ususal answer is no, unless you give them facts to prove otherwise then they change their mind. Difficult to get someone who actually knows what they are talking about. I posted this question to see if anyone ON MEDICARE has prior experience. Thanks again. Easier said than done.
