Since childhood, I've suffered with ulcers, gastritous, and now have barrets. I even had surgery but nothing works but protonics. My insurance will not pay for it and I've tried some generics only to find myself back in the emergency room. Is there truly a generic version to protonics?

Yes, there is a generic to protonix, called "pantoprazole." The FDA has determined that a generic medication is equivalent to a brand-name version, so you will get the same exact active ingredient. The inactive ingredients (like dyes and filler) can be different, but the active ingredient should work the same.
