Is there a generic drug for xyzal in the making and is there a comparable drug available for hives?

Xyzal - Is it safe to take this at the same time as ambien?

I was just prescribed xyzal today. I forgot to list that I take ambien sometimes. So now I am wondering if it is safe to take them both at bedtime?
