Is there a blood thinner medication that is safe to take during pregnancy?

I have seen Heparin used during pregnancy but that was an individual who was hospitalized for a DVT (blood clot) during her pregnancy and she was in the hospital the whole time she received it and she was in early to mid pregnancy. It was a long time ago and I cant remember what they sent her home with. I would recommend that you discuss this with your OB-GYN provider.
