Wanting to find the drawbacks of taking lotrel before i start taking it. Is it worth taking this medication, please let me know.

It will definitely be worth taking it if it keeps your blood pressure under control (provided you don't have any major side effects and if you do have any unpleasant symptoms you could always stop it and change to another medicine).

Keeping your blood pressure under control is important. High blood pressure has so many long term complications.
