Is Temazepam a narcotic?

[?] I have been prescribed Temazepam, and I have no idea if it is a Narcotic or not , can someone help?

Temazepam is a C-IV controlled drug it does have abuse potential and is in the same class as Valium and Xanax. -JON

would temazepam be better than the Alprazalom that I am now taking I am 73 years and I take 2 .o5mm at bed time and sleep about 6 hours, my druggist ...
